We thought this would be a good way of introducing ourselves in a fun and arty way. It was also a great way of spending time on the estate, meeting some of you and just getting a feel for the place.
We are really excited to be working on this project and are very aware that it must be a time of mixed emotions for you all. The excitement of moving into a new home will inevitably contrast with a sense of sadness. Our homes contain so much history it would be good if we could somehow capture some of this in a tangible way and take it with us. Perhaps this is something we could work on…………...
Artist Zoë Chamberlain has already built up some outline ideas, which we will develop with you. We will be looking for inspiration from the site, its history and yourselves. So beware we will be around asking questions taking photos and generally being a bit arty.
What we plan to do:
We need to have a good understanding of where, why and who we are creating artworks for. To do this we will be talking to lots of different people, such as the Chaplins Close, Youth Action Group, Parish Council Primary School the Historical Society and of course yourselves. We really do want your input on this, so let us know what you think. We hope to set up regular events where You will be able to see our ideas as they progress. We will be showing you models, drawings and photographs and one of us will be there to talk it all through.
We are also in the process of setting up a blog for the project. http://www.andrewtanser.com/blog/andysblog.htmThis will be an online diary of the project where you can keep track of our progress and post up your comments.

Chris and I together have a fantastic range of skills to bring to this project and I know the outcome will be something that you will enjoy and be proud of for years to come.
We are really looking forward to working with you.
