Proposed 9m tall Light Tree to be made from stainless steel with LED light panels/reflectors to be included in the branches similar to the drawing on the left from another proposal

Fulbourn Summary

December 2007

• Two Public Art Consultation Evenings took place on 20th & 24th Sept for residents of the Windmill Estate to feedback their views and opinions on the wide range of possible directions and ideas presented
• The Parish Council have accepted the short listed ideas except for the light tree, which is provisional until further clarifying information is submitted
• Final costing in progress to see how many sculptures can be made

Proposed Methodology :
• Regular progress reports
• Artwork to be phased throughout the build
• Photographic records kept of the site - now, during & after building work
• Annual participation in the Fulbourn Feast

Workshops & Training :
• Primary School and Sheltered Housing residents to develop artwork for hoarding around the building site
Safety training days to be organised by main contractor for primary school children
